Luis Miguel is DESEA PERU’s Coordinator of the Economic and Social Development Project.  In this role, he is responsible for the planning, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of projects that focus on women’s empowerment, community organization and economic opportunities.

Luis joined DESEA in 2018 with the passion and dedication to work with the rural communities of his hometown of Lamay.  In line with DESEA’s approach, Luis believes in the power of education and building local capacity to support development goals that allow communities to be autonomous and sustainable.  Luis enjoys teaching and problem-solving the unique challenges that each community faces.  He hopes that through DESEA’s work, project communities will accomplish positive changes in health, education and development.
