Our purpose at DESEA Peru is to improve lives in Andean communities through diverse programs and outreach campaigns.
DESEA Peru provides comprehensive community health solutions to remote communities throughout the Sacred Valley, Cusco, Peru. Our work is divided into the four distinct programs outlined below. Since instilling this integrated approach to our work, we’ve seen significant reductions in mortality and morbidity rates throughout the project areas, particularly for mothers and young children.
Water Treatment
Our water treatment program is centered around fighting biological contaminants present in drinking water sources in the Andes.
Health Services
By delivering health services we’re developing a solution to address the higher than average mortality rates in rural Andean communities.
Health Education
Our education program offers health-related courses to the school-age children and adults in the communities we serve.
Community Development
In our development program, we assist in project organization, investment concepts, government applications, and liaison services.
Our Impact So Far
Since 2008, DESEA Peru has been dedicated to working to improve the lives of those living in high altitude communities in the Peruvian Andes. Each year, we’ve been able to expand our reach and increase community support through our programs.
